National Archives "Hiroshima: MCU A nurse's arms showing scar tissue. Average depth of penetration of glass fragments in the area was stated to have been 1 cm. CU Nurse's face with Doctor Shigeta removing glass to show scars. CU Nurse's hands. CU Glass fragmentation on a wall at height approx. 5 feet at a distance of 10 feet from window which was perpendicular to the wall. CU Of a ruler placed on the wall to show the size of gash on the plastered wall. CU Door jam showing the same. Piece of glass imbedded in wall, pencil used to outline. MS Looking NE at a blood stain on plastered wall in hospital room 306 located 36 feet from the side of the building facing zero. The blood stains caused by blood spurting from a neck artery of a hospitalized patient who was in bed at the time of the blast. It is interesting to observe that the blood splotches have been blown NW by negative pressure. The patient died in the corridor just outside room 306. CU Blood splotch on the ceiling showing the distinct spattering toward NW as a result of the suction phase of the blast.
