Tosca: Nur der Schönheit (Puccini) 30 cm VOX *02141 Matrix Nr. 342 A Charlotte VIERECK-KIMPEL - Sopran (& Orch.) recorded 1922 Note: This record is labeled as "Zurück von ihm (Tannhäuser)". This Tannhäuser recording was also published under the identical Matrix number. Actually on this record is the Tosca aria, which does not appear in the catalogues. In the Matrix series of her Recordings there is one blank space: 341 A. Possibly this was the Tosca aria and the Matrix number 342 A was used twice in error and even Vox got confused and used the wrong Pressing Matrix. Diese Platte trägt ein falsches Label. Die genannte Tannhäuser-Aufnahme existiert aber ebenfalls unter der gleichen Matrix-Nummer. Vermutlich handelt es sich hier um einen Fehler von VOX, die die gleiche Matrizennummer zweimal verwendeten und dann selbst die Aufnahmen vertauschten. Dies ist für heute ein Glücksfall, da die Tosca-Arie nicht im Katalog auftauchte und sonst wohl nicht veröffentlicht worden wäre.
