About this film
A seriocomic romantic adventure costarring Clark Gable and Rosalind Russell as competing jewel thieves. An expensive production with a large cast. Peter Lorre and Jessie Ralph are entertaining in supporting roles, but neither the screen writing nor the weak chemistry between Gable and Russell are up to the demands of the farfetched plot which sends Gable off to fight in the Sino-Japanese war.
