Scenes of workers constructing houses, housewives waiting in line at a grocery for rationed food, activities in shipyards and textile mills, barrels of whiskey being readied for export, U.S. tourists in British clothing stores, the manufacture of tires in a factory, grain flowing down a chute from ship to shore, and Britishers at work and at play indicate the progress of British reconstruction and economic development with U.S. aid."
