The Flamethrowers
About this film
"The Flamethrowers" - a film collaboration between Owen O'Toole (us@) & Alte Kinder & Schmelzdahin (Germany), 1989. This is part 4 of my series of uploads of the movie work of Owen O'Toole. After Owen cast a wide net seeking out collaborators to film a day in 1988 for his "Filmers Almanac", he collaborated with some German filmmakers on "The Flamethrowers", a film using found footage that's distressed & multi-projected & reshot. Owen sent me a VHS transfer of it along with the 2nd, one-of-a-kind, transfer of 50 of the Almanac films. My version of it, as presented here, shows the spine of the VHS case with Owen's "S'pool" logo, the VHS tape itself, & a brief excerpt from Owen's letter to me mentioning this collaboration. - December 31, 2017 note from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
