About this film

Demonstrates advanced search techniques in the PsycINFO database (EBSChost 2.0). Discusses the identification of subject headings either via the item record or the Thesaurus, and how to use these subject headings in subsequent searches.Truncated searching is demonstrated via the use of the asterisk symbol. Also covers the use of hyperlinks in different fields within the item record so users can quickly perform new searches for all materials by the named author or cited references. Tutorial ends with a brief demonstration of the use of the Indexes tab to gain further search precision.
