About this film

Choice clips (and trailer) from "Olga's House of Shame" (1964) third, and best, in the exploitation series starring Audrey Campbell. This highly influential New York grindhouse film launched the new wave of "roughie" sexploitation. Designed to be the opposite of the colorful "nudie-cuties", roughies added sex and sadism to film-noir crime-dramas in stories about depraved psychos who abduct women, white slavery rings, prostitution and drugs. This film has all of those elements. The first full-length feature to show fetishes such as sadistic adult spanking, human pony training, and various S&M devices and practices used to control slave girls. Writer/producer George Weiss (producer of Ed Wood's "Glen or Glenda?") and director Joseph Mawra were inspired by the '50s film-loops of Irving Klaw. Short fetish films of Bettie Page and others engaging in bondage, domination, pony play, etc. In turn, the Olga films inspired "Tortured Females", "Rent-A-Girl", "The Defilers" (all 1965), "The Lusting Hours", "Cool it, Baby", "Invitation to Ruin" (all 1967), "Cargo of Love", "The Bizarre Ones" (1968), "The Ultimate Degenerate", and "A Taste of Hot Lead" (1969).
