National Archives description: "NORTH AFRICA-- German reconnaissance detachment motoring into the desert: finds tire tracks and identifies them as enemy tracks by measurement; stops at desert village. Staff Headquarters of combined German and Italian tank force: Cavallero, Rommel, Kesselring, Leidemena[?]. Anti-Aircraft alarm; Anti-Aircraft fire against English planes laying a 'bomb carpet'. 'The English deliberately burn the dwellings'. English plane brought down. English tank attack warded off by artillery fire. Funeral is held for German officials who perished in explosion during party meeting in Munich Rathskeller. Scenes of destruction and ruin caused by the attempt on Hitler's life. A victim of the catastrophe is interviewed. Crowds in Munich pay homage to the dead?. Hitler is also seen saluting caskets of the victims and attending funeral services.
