Roosevelt signs a mutual aid pact with 26 other nations. Churchill inspects damage in London. Shows destruction in Russia and China. Industry is converted to war production. Draftees are inducted and trained. German submarines sink U.S. ships. Wheat, factories, and bridges are destroyed by retreating Russians. Shows Cordell Hull. Reel 2 (1942), Japanese and German troops continue to advance on all fronts. U.S. and Japanese fleets are attacked by carrier planes off Midway. The British stop German armor at El Alamein, Egypt. Shows street fighting in Stalingrad. Shows British and Russian factories. Personages: Adm. Nimitz, Joseph Stalin. Reel 3 (1942), U.S. material of war is made and stored. Shows many ship launchings.
