National Archives description "1) AV Flame throwing tank in operation on Iwo Jima. 2) AV B-29 in flight. 3) AV Tanks in operation in open country on Iwo Jima, much smoke-SV. 4) AV Flame throwing tanks in operation (dramatic view). 5) AV-MS Entrances to caves on Iwo Jima hillside-SV. 6) AV Road block. 7) MS-CU Pilot and observer climb into Piper Cub observation plane on field. 8) CU Pilot and observer in plane. 9) MS Plane takes off. 10) MS-Pan Steaming sulfur deposit on Iwo Jima. 11) CU Man picks up particles of sulfur from soil."
