National Archives description: "1) MS Marine souvenir hunter looks around damaged Japanese plane & damaged Japanese searchlight (SV). 2) MS Dual purpose Japanese twin mount 10 centimeter gun on Iwo Jima. 3) GV Men in bivouac area eating chow and reading. 4) GV Scoop shovel digs rock and loads it into trucks. 5) MS CU 5th Marine Division Headquarters chow line (SV). 6) DA CU Bulldozer digs and clears away wreckage of Japanese pillbox (SV). 7) LS Artillery shells land on and near small rocky island off shore of Iwo Jima. 8) CU Marine with his war dog, "Duke," on guard. 9) LS PAN View of island from top of Mt. Suribachi. 10) CU Men dig in ground for gun emplacements. 11) MS Shells explode on very rough & rocky terrain (SV). 12) LS Marine places demolition charges in cave and takes cover; it explodes. 13) LS Light 30 cal. machine gun in action."
