National Archives description "l) MS-CU Large unexploded shell, 12", hoisted into bomb disposal truck and laid on sandbags. 2) MS PAN Truck, loaded with shells, drives away. 3) MS Tank proceeds along road; invasion fleet off shore in bg. 4) MS Marines fire 81MM mortars from foxhole (SV). 5) MS Damaged and overturned tank-truck; bulldozer at work in bg. 6) MS PAN Weasel tows a trailer along road. 7) CU Large Japanese mortar or rocket shell lying on ground. 8) MS-CU Marine fires carbine. 9) MS-CU Marines man 30 cal. light machine gun (SV). 10) MS-CU Marines eat and drink from canteen cups (SV). 11) MS Looking out blasted entrance of blockhouse. 12) LS Beach of Iwo Jima with amphibious craft. 13) LS Road; vehicles passing on road with pontoons in bg. 14) LS Damaged LCI and other large amphibious craft on beach."
