National Archives description "1) GV Task force repels air attack, guns fire, flak bursts SV. 2) MS Corpsmen attend casualty; Japanese prisoners interviewed. 3) MS MCU Field radio operator, Marine digs foxhole. 4) MS Marine carrys wounded Japanese child. 5) MS MCU Men with Japanese flag, officers & men study map. 6) GV Japanese railroad wrecked by bombardment. 7) GV LVT knocked out by Japanese mortar fire. 8) GV LVTs cross captured air strip (very hazy). 9) MCU Dead Marine on beach, man covers dead. 10) GV Checking names of dead Marines before burial. 11) MS Marines look at souvenir sword. 12) GV MS Men carry 75MM ammunition, unload LVT on beach. 13) GV-Pan View of beach, LVT underway, fire BG; wrecked American tanks and Japanese town. 14) GV Surf breaks over stranded tank; LCMs take supplies ashore; transport area."
