National Archives description "(Formerly 1300) Produced by: USS SARATOGA (CV-3) Date: 5/9/43 Length 327'(included in the above) AWARDING MEDALS; CHANGE OF COMMAND ABOARD USS SARATOGA (CV-3) 1) MS CAPT. H.M. MULLINIX [SIC] shaking hands with undt. Officer on flight deck of USS SARATOGA (CV-3). 2) MCU CAPT. MULLINIX reading his orders to crew of SARATOGA, SV. 3) HA MLS CAPT. MULLINIX inspecting crew on flight deck. 4) MS Undt. Admiral comes aboard, walks to microphone addresses crew. 5) MS CAPT. J.H. CASSADY speaking into microphone; shakes hands with several Officers. 6) MS Ship's band behind crew in whites waiting for action, SV. 7) LA MLS Ensign flying from superstructure of ship. 8) MCU Flag-draped body of LT.
