About this film
Naval Photographic Center film # 11442. Color Navy GSAP gun camera footage from the Pacific Theater. One of the title cards says "Japanese Fleet Oct 26 1944" so I've used that date. Another title card says "U.S.S. Hornet, Manila Luzon Yap, Nov. 5 - 19, 1944, General F.M.R.O. No.24" In addition to the GSAP film, there is footage (taken from a ship) of a fighter ditching in the sea and some carrier landings. National Archives Identifier: 2518988 no description.
