This is not footage of the Attack on Pearl Harbor. It is footage of the May 21, 1944 Pearl Harbor "West Loch Disaster" which killed hundreds of Sailors and Marines. United States Naval Photographic Center film #19709. National Archives description: "1) LS Smoke rising from burning LST at Pearl Harbor. 2) LS Explosion caused by ammunition throwing large clouds of smoke into air from LST. 3) CU Casualties being removed from burning LSTs in Pearl Harbor. 4) LS Fire boat spraying water into burning LSTs. SV. 5) LS Black smoke rising from burning LSTs in Pearl Harbor. 6) CU LSTs, damage caused by fire. 7) LS Water being sprayed into burning LSTs. 8) LS Pearl Harbor. 9) MS Damaged ship being towed away from burning LSTs. 10) MCU Casualties being removed from LSTs after frame has been burned. 11) MS Damaged LSTs and other ships being towed from area where LSTs are burning and exploding."
