Fire starts on shore, assumed to be houses and aircraft. MCU LS Battleships bombarding Saipan. LS Smoke column rising high into air; assumed to be ammunition dump that has been blown up. MCU DA Admiral Spruance, Vice Admiral Turner, Lieutenant General Smith coming aboard USS Philip (DD-498) for transportation to Tinian for flag raising ceremonies."
