A vintage promotional film created about the Milo Ryan Phonoarchive of CBS news recordings. Shows images of historic moments in World War II as well as Professor Milo Ryan working in the archive with an audio voice over. Features samples from the archive of speeches by Winston Churchill and President Truman. This collection is held at the University of Washington Libraries and is a unique audio time capsule that documents many historic 20th century events (1931 to 1977). It consists of sound recordings of CBS Radio News programs, public affairs shows, actualities, speeches, interviews, wartime dramas, daily World War II news updates, and stands as the only comprehensive collection of 20th century CBS Radio News broadcasts.
