Powerful romantic drama brought down a peg by the miscasting of one of my all-time favorite actors Fredric March. (He and it are still very much worth seeing.) Outstanding supporting cast. An adaptation of Paddy Chayefsky's Broadway hit which ran for 477 performances. Filmed in NYC. TRIVIA: The stage production, which I was fortunate enough to see in the Spring of 1956, costarred Edward G Robinson and Gena Rowlans. (I still have a yellowing copy of the playbill.) It was revived on Broadway in 2014 with Nicole Lowrance and Jonathan Hadary. CAST NOTE: David Ford's feature film debut.
