AudioMatinee with Bob & Ray
About this film
The first regular radio series by the master absurdist improvisors, on Boston's WHDH, between 1946 and 1951. These are the few such shows known to have survived for today's listening. Bob Elliott was a WHDH morning DJ; Ray Goulding did the news on the hour, and what began as occasional little ad-libbed buffoonery became a regular series when WHDH asked them to do 25 minutes before a Red Sox or Braves game or to go on during rain delays.
