1945 Navy Film "Midnight"
About this film
1945 United States Navy film # MN-5051B Midnight National Archives description "Consists of brief scenes of wartime activities of the Navy. Begins with scenes in England at midnight (Greenwich time) and moves to other parts of the world where local times are different but where the official Navy time is midnight. Includes scenes of Navy planes strafing Japanese shipping in the China Sea, of a hospital on Guadalcanal, and of pilot trainees landing on the practice carrier Wolverine in Lake Michigan. Points out that such extensive activities are expensive and require financial support from the sale of war bonds."
