About this film
"Kate Kaos, April 9 & 10, 2000, May 14, 2000": From mid-March to mid-June, 2000, my partner etta cetera & I travelled in Malaysia (briefly) & Australia (for most of the time) where we were very busy & where we met a plethora of interesting folks. IN Melbourne, many of the people we met were introduced to us by Warren Burt. Kate Kaos was one of those & we were fortunate to be able to shoot footage of her dancing & kindly hosting a dinner party for us & some of her dancer friends. The footage doesn't do her justice given that it was mostly shot in very dark conditions using a cheap VHS camcorder. I've taken some steps to improve the contrast but they've only been minimally successful. Warren Burt provided the music for what I think of as the "Tube Dance" & may've provided the music for the duet that follows it but I'm not sure. - October 26, 2017 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
