About this film

Fiddle solo, unknown - piano, Gaelic 502. Michael Coleman recorded this medley at around the same time; piper Felix Doran also played it on his Last of the Traveling Pipers LP, albeit not in the Sligo style of course. Piper Tom Ennis played the Pigeon as a solo on a record with Morrison which was two solos and one duet, which is also featured on this site. The great Sligo fiddler John Vesey also replicates Coleman's record on his Sligo Fiddler 2CD. The quality of this recording is quite rough but Morrison's hearty playing, full of lift, is well worth hearing past the noise.
