The Cavan Reel, The Star of Munster

About this film

Fiddle solo, unknown - piano, Keltic 1001. A fiercely played pair of reels. McInerney was from Cavan, appropriately enough. The same spoken introduction is heard at the beginning of Tom Ennis's Sarsfield's Jig recording, also available at this site. Presumably this was an early form of copywrite protection. The Flanagan Brothers also recorded the Cavan Reel.
