The first of three lighthearted Solane mysteries in the "Thin Man" style. Mr. and Mrs. Sloane are played by Melvyn Douglas and Florence Rice at the head of a large cast of pros. Dwight Frye shows his versitility as a character actor in this entertaining whodunit. Followed by "Fast and Loose." NOTE: It is preferable but not essential to watch the first two film in this series in release-date order
