War Dept Film Bulletin 201: River-Crossing Operations In The CBI 1945
About this film
National Archives description: "Soldiers, mules, trucks, supplies, and caterpillar tractors cross rivers on or in bamboo rafts, canvas boats, pneumatic boats, Bailey bridges, ferries, pontoon bridges, oil drum rafts, assault boats, and wooden bridges. Trucks ford rivers and troops wade and swim across. Engineers construct wooden landing stages for ferries; build bridge sections on river banks; and place bridge balks, flooring, and pontoons into position. Natives propel rafts. Trucks are retrieved from flooded areas."
