Dedicated Docking Module Move
About this film
The dedicated docking module during one leg of its trip from Earth to the International Space Station was moved from its berth in the Stennis Space Center canal out to the Stennis International Airport. The next day, it was loaded into the Super Guppy and flown to Kennedy Space Center. To get the module into the aircraft, it had to be unloaded from its flatbed carrier via cranes and put onto the airplaneâs cradle. Then it was lifted up into the plane and locked into place to await takeoff.
