San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, "Coppelia Ballet (Dance of the Automatons and Waltz) I've been fighting this record for years to get a decent output. I think I finally have it. Can't do much about the scratch, but I got the instruments out there pretty clear. Who would think that automatons could be so graceful? I think you will like this one. Can't find a date, but it is Gramophone Company (Czechoslovakia) Catalog no. ES 269. Update: While reading Nolan Porterfield's biography of Jimmie Rodgers, I found an offhand quote from Ralph Peer, that there had been portable Victor recordings of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, but those recordings were not very good.
