About this film
An entertaining though mostly fictional account of the formation of Pan American Airways with a strong cast and great visuals of the Glenn Martin M-130 flying boat, the first trans-Pacfic airliner. Hollywood's quintessential dizzy blonde, Marie Wilson, provides comedy relief. CAST NOTES; Popular character actor Henry Walthall (Dad Brunn) collapsed on the set and died shortly thereafter. He had been cast to play the high Lama, Chang, in Frank Capra's "Lost Horizon." (The part then went to H. B. Warner.) Future WW2 fighter ace Wayne Morris appears in the minor role of a M-130 crew member.
