CS-2159 Return Of The First Saipan Mission Very short film in the Army Air Forces "Combat Subjects" series of films. Clapperboard says "Aug 9 Saipan Mud" then another clapperboard says "Aug 10 Idochima [Iwo Jima] Raid." Shows the B-24 first bombing raid from Saipan: " August 10, 1944 (7th AF) B-24s flying their first mission from Saipan pound Iwo Jima Island, beginning the AAF's neutralization campaign of that island."
