U.S. Army newsreel Combat Bulletin #35 , which describes combat activities in late 1944. Listed in the National Archives as Japanese Raid Saipan B-29 Base, Etc: 1945. Title cards: Pacific: Japs Raid Saipan B-29 Base E.T.O.: "Black Widow" and "JATO" India-Burma: Activities In Burma E.T.O.: Activities In European Theatre of Operations Description from the National Archives: "Part 1: Shows fire and damage caused by Japanese bombings of Saipan (November 1944). Part 2 (CB Part 4): pontoons are hauled by trailer trucks along the Burma Road and by train. Chinese troops build and cross a bridge over the Irrawaddy River. Shows (CB Reel 2) advances by Chinese and U.S. troops and war dogs on patrol (end CB version). The 475th Regiment bypasses Bhamo, advances through jungle, and treats its wounded. Tonkwa is shelled. Chinese troops and their animals are flown from Myitkyina, Burma to China. Part 2 (CB only): Blood is donated and refrigerated at a Red Cross center in San Francisco and flown to Pearl Harbor, Guam, and Leyte.
