National Archives description: ""Shows a U.S. convoy at sea off Bougainville in the Solomons. Landing craft bring Marines and vehicles ashore on the beach. An armored halftrack moves through the jungle carrying Marines in camouflaged suits. A halftrack stops at a river and fires across at the opposite bank with its light artillery piece. Landing craft unload more troops and equipment and troops move inland."
