I've been researching newly public domain films from 1929 and earlier, so I'm uploading the best possible copies that I can find. One of the first sound pictures that filmed on location, this musical tragedy was a critical and commercial hit on release. In retrospective views it is still thought of as a cinematic innovator due to the technical aspects of the film.
