About this film
The first recording for American Front Porch back in 1998. This first effort was an archiving project as well as an entertainment experiment. The Mayfields were gracious enough to perform some of their vast repertoire on their actual front porch. Lyle has passed away now and we are more aware than ever of the value of recording Traditional musicians for our collective heritage.
