Synopsis A home movie filmed by Judith Hammer on a Brownie 8mm camera. The film begins with shots of a man climbing the steps of a building and later features an East Coast trip with Judith Hammer's peers, including an art exhibit inside a geodisk sphere structure, possibly the Biosphere of Montreal (Montreal, Québec). Collection Description This film (Hammer_0002) is part of the College Days Capers: Collegiate Experiences & Capers at UND During "The Revolution" of the Late 60s & Early 70s Collection. College Days Capers captures the filmmaker Judith Hammer's young adulthood while she attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks in the late 60s and early 70s, or the Counter Culture era. She describes herself as being the "sporadic cinematographer within [her] peer group" and credits foreign films shown in the Student Union and exposure to social movements, cultural offerings, and her peers at college as her inspiration. Hammer largely captured live action and people in motion, very little of the collection is scenery.
