Core, Sr. There are some reels of his son Dwight Core, Jr. as a child, who was born in 1960 with Down Syndrome. Dwight Sr.’s film, ‘Think of Me First as a Person’, about his son, was added to the National Film Registry in 2006. These home movies document the ‘ordinary’ life of a middle-class American family from the late 1940s through the early 1970s.
