The first of two outstanding Warner Brothers biopics starring Edward G Robinson. (see note) This one chronicles -- with a high degree of dramatic licence -- the life of Julius Reuter. Solid supporting cast and good production values. Unfortunately the trailer gives the impression this is a mystery thriller which it most definitely is not. NOTE: The second Warner/Robinson biopic is the must-see "Dr. Ehrlick's Magic Bullet," featuring Robinson's oscar-worthy performance as Paul Ehrlick, the inventor of chemotherapy.
