Infantrymen running through smoking streets past bodies of dead Germans. Excellent scenes, US soldiers taking up positions at street intersection; M-3 tank firing as it advances through street; prisoners coming out of house with hands raised. CU, dead US soldier lying face down. Tank shells bursting against buildings. CU, US soldier in window of house, broadcasting to Germans to surrender. Cut to rear view, CU of loudspeaker placed in window. LS, Pan of city. Shell-torn sections of buildings. US soldiers in mopping-up operations. Flash of soldier crouched behind wreckage with MG at ready. M-18 tank speeding through smoking street. LS, street completely demolished by shellings.
