U.S. Army film #ADC-1702 "NEW BLITZ HITS LONDON, LONDON, ENGLAND ; 9TH US ARMY ON THE OFFENSIVE, LINNICH, GERMANY, ca. 1941 - ca. 1945" No description at the National Archives but this is silent Paramount Newsreel footage. Title Card: "New Blitz Hits London." The Queen Mum talks to bombed-out residents of London as they stand in rubble-strewn streets. This is likely the "little blitz" of 1944. Title Card: "B 1043" Tanks fire in meadow. Soldiers stand on tank; LT. points at map. U.S. soldiers stand in trenches. They wear life vests and march into town. German POWs march in a line. This may be footage of Operation Grenade in February of 1945.
