This movie has been categorized as film noir, which it certainly is not. It is an ordinary red-scare crime drama with flat ...no, make that juvenile dialog.The good-to-excellent cast gives the impression they are just waiting for their paychecks. Given the script they had to work with, who could blame them? The final scene delivers enough corn to fill an Iowa silo. Nevertheless, this isn't a terrible film. It will pass ninety minutes without insulting your intelligence or offending your sensibilities.
