This set of five lessons were part of a broader project that according to the instructor, Richard Rumppe, were intended to both teach students confined to their homes as well as resolve the issue of science teacher's in the Twin Cities without the requisite background and licensure to teach science. The set of videos were broadcast on KTCA (channel 2)-Twin City Area Educational Television (what is now known as TPT-2) in the Minneapolis, St. Paul area of Minnesota, USA. Instructor: Richard F. Rumppe Science Teacher Minneapolis Public Schools 1959-1992 Born: 1932. The videos in this series were originally on 16 mm film, stored in their metal cans in the basement of Richard Rumppe, and brought to digital life through the generous contributions of his daughter Mary (Rumppe) Young and her husband Steven Young MD of Mt. Vernon, Iowa.
